Certified Home Watch Reporter™ Membership Requirements

Eligibility: Available only to Home Watch Academy Graduates

Home Watch Business Owners

• Company Principal(s) must be graduates of the Home Watch Academy.
• Business in Good Standing:
• Compliance with all outlined criteria.
• Responsible for keeping credentials up-to-date.
• Listings in the Member Directory will be suspended if documents are out of date.

Background Check

• Business Owner(s): $75 each
• Required for company principals
• One time fee though subject to future updates

NOTE:  Business owners are responsible for background checks of team members and employees.

Insurance Requirements

• Proof of Insurance:
• Minimum coverage: $1,000,000 General Liability Policy, $2,000,000 Aggregate.
• Professional Liability/E&O Insurance is recommended.
• Add Your Home Watch Professionals INC. at:
  1101 S. Tamiami Trail Suite 101-V, Venice, FL 34285, as an Additional Insured.
• Bond Requirement: Minimum coverage of $10,000.  This is a Surety or Dishonesty Bond.

Educational Requirements

• Graduate of the Home Watch Academy.
• Active subscription to the Home Watch Academy Graduate Resources.
• Completion of knowledge-based testing, which will be administered randomly at select intervals to ensure continued proficiency and understanding.

Business Documentation

Applicants must provide official documentation of legal ownership or authorized representation. Proof of an established business entity is required. Only one is required. Acceptable examples include:

1. PREFERRED: State-issued certificate of good standing, such as a copy of your State Annual Report.
2. Business License/Business Tax Receipt.
3. EIN (Employer Identification Number) confirmation letter from the IRS.
4. Articles of Incorporation or Articles of Organization.

Compliance Requirements

• Adherence to all Terms and Conditions and Logo Use Guidelines.
• Organizational websites are subject to review.
• Member Directory listing will be suspended at the sole discretion of the Home Watch Academy should any item be out of compliance, violation, or misrepresentation of the organization's mission, values, or ethics.

Membership Fee

• Annual Fee: $99 for the business.
• Membership fee is non-refundable and will automatically renew unless canceled before the expiration date.

Home Watch Employees

• Must be graduates of the Home Watch Reporter Training.
• Business owner(s) are solely responsible for:
• Employee background checks.
• Ensuring insurance requirements are met.
• Adherence to all province, state and local laws and regulations
• Business owner(s) acknowledge:
• The Home Watch Reporter Training is foundational, and ongoing instruction and guidance for employees is their responsibility.
• An active subscription to Graduate Resources is required for graduates of the Home Watch Business Owner Course, not required for graduates of the Home Watch Reporter Course.
